Atmosphere: You'll board a small, traditional wooden boat (sampan), often rowed by a local, and gently drift along the Hoai River. The town lights up with lanterns reflecting on the water, creating a magical ambiance.
Duration: Each ride typically lasts about 20 minutes. You can negotiate with the boat operator for a longer duration for an extra fee.
Lantern Release: It's a popular tradition to purchase a small, lotus-shaped paper lantern with a candle inside and release it onto the river while making a wish. These lanterns symbolize hopes for peace, luck, and happiness
