Description

We are planning a week-long Trip to explore the major regions of Madhya Pradesh and would like to travel in a group of 2-3 families.
Note: Our family is slow-paced and has participants from all age groups, a couple of youngsters, as well as senior citizens, so bear this in mind.

This is our rough itinerary, which can be finalised as per the number of people joining

Day 1 – Arrival in Jabalpur

Arrive in Jabalpur (by train/flight).

Easy evening outing to Madan Mahal Fort for panoramic views.

Dinner by the lakeside. Overnight stay in Jabalpur.

Day 2 – Bhedaghat & Marble Rocks

Morning visit to Bhedaghat – enjoy a boat ride on the Marble Rocks gorge (best during sunrise/sunset).

Witness the mighty Dhuandhar Falls.

Evening free for a relaxed family stroll or local street food tasting.

Overnight stay in Jabalpur.

Day 3 – Kanha National Park

Drive to Kanha National Park (approx. 4–5 hrs).

Evening at leisure – nature walk around your lodge, bonfire.

Overnight stay near Kanha.

Day 4 – Kanha Safari & Relaxation

Early morning jeep safari to spot tigers, barasinghas, and wild elephants.

Return to lodge for relaxed brunch.

Evening free for cultural activities at the resort (tribal dance, storytelling).

Overnight in Kanha.

Day 5 – Bandhavgarh National Park

After breakfast, drive to Bandhavgarh National Park (approx. 4 hrs).

Evening at leisure, light nature walk or birdwatching.

Overnight stay near Bandhavgarh.

Day 6 – Bandhavgarh Safari & Fort Views

Morning safari inside Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve.

Afternoon optional visit to Bandhavgarh Fort ruins (if kids/elders are comfortable with light trekking).

Overnight in Bandhavgarh.

Day 7 – Drive to Khajuraho

Scenic drive to Khajuraho (approx. 5–6 hrs, with stops for lunch and small breaks).

Evening sound & light show at the Western Group of Temples, narrating Khajuraho’s history.

Overnight stay in Khajuraho.

Day 8 – Khajuraho Temples & Departure

Morning visit to UNESCO World Heritage temples (Western Group is family-friendly and most impressive).

Explore local handicraft markets for souvenirs.

Departure from Khajuraho airport/railway station.
